Sophia Grace Releases Debut Single

You may know her as the girl who covered Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” on YouTube a while back, or as the girl who makes frequent visits to the Ellen show with her cousin Rosie.

The two girls have just released the music video for their debut single entitled “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun”. Starring 10 year old Sophia Grace as the main singer and Rosie in the background, the video features the girls having a good time, driving around in a pink Barbie jeep, partying and sitting in thrones with their pink tiaras.

The music video is really every little girl’s dream, to be able to have fun with friends, wear tutus and tiaras, and eat cupcakes. It is a great representation of the girls’ personalities based on what we see on the Ellen show, and between having tea parties, meeting celebrities, walking the red carpet and enjoying free shopping sprees at Toys R Us, it’s hard to believe these girls have the time of day to release music. For a girl of age 10, she has accomplished what people only dream of accomplishing in their lives. Congratulations Sophia Grace and Rosie!

Fast & Furious 6 NO SPOILERS!

Another new movie to come out is the new one from the Fast and Furious series, Fast and Furious 6! This hot, new action movie earned more than $122 million and it was just released on May 24th.

The movie is filled with many action scenes, amazing effects, beautiful, luxurious cars that everyone dreams of, explosives, a surprising reality, wild fights, a twist involving the military, beloved racing, extreme stunt acts, a crazy plot twist and everyone’s favourite characters from the beginning of the series. What more can one ask for? Once the 6th movie was released, the theatres were packed. By the time the movie was over, a very pleased audience was left excited and in shock because Fast and Furious 6 was above and beyond many of the fans expectations.

Fast and Furious 6 had many mind-blowing scenes leaving the fans in awe. The end of the movie, after the credits, featured a scene showing what really happened in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. This resulted in many fans who were left wanting more. As mentioned in a previous blog post, a seventh movie is on the way and fans are waiting in anticipation. Who knows what kind of magic The Fast and Furious series will pull?

Now You See Me (Spoilers)

If you’ve been following our blog posts, you’d remember that Now You See Me was released in theatres this past weekend.

From the previews, I had anticipated that it would be of decent caliber considering the cast of Isla Fischer, Woody Harrellson, and Dave Franco, world renowned actors that starred in movies such as Friends with Benefits, How to be a Shopaholic, and Warm Bodies. Yet, I had not anticipated to be on the edge of my seat for the entire duration of the movie.

The plot consists of 4 different magicians being formed together by an anonymous source to complete a fallen magician’s legacy of 3 mind-blowing magic acts that just about fooled everyone, including the FBI. The “Four Horsemen’s acts consisted of various bank heists, while rewarding their audience with the money. While being constantly on the run from several furious FBI members, one member (Dave Franco) appeared to have passed away in a car chase. This was yet another illusion, as the 4 horsemen continued to strive to fulfill their destiny of the 3 acts. The big surprise was at the very end, where the anonymous orchestrator of the 4 horsemen turned out to be the head of the FBI case, which was his own magic act in itself.

All in all, it was a great movie, it was suspenseful and entertaining!

Another Cyrus making his name known!

Miley Cyrus’ younger brother, Braison Cyrus, is now a professional model. 

He is making his shooting off his modelling career in the newest issue of Triox magazine. This will be his official jump into the industry since he signed with Wilhemina Models late 2012. 

Braison was named one of the “Boys of Summer” for the issue, which also includes “Pretty Little Liars” stars Julian Morris (Wren) and Brant Daugherty (Noel), singer Booboo Stewart (aka Seth from the twilight movies) and actor Gregg Sulkin (Ezra’s brother on pretty little liars,Wesley). 

Miley Cyrus seems to be enjoying her brother’s new found fame as she took it jokingly to twitter with the following tweet:

“Woahhhhh! Who’s prettier? I’m voting Braison? Haha @TyraBanks who do you think is ANTM?! ;)”

ANTM, for those of you who don’t know refers to the tv show America’s Next Top Model.

One Direction – Where We Are

As some may know, One Direction is set to release their new book “Where We Are: Our Band, Our Story”. This will be their third 100% official biography. After doing dozens of signings everywhere from England, to California, and everywhere in between for their other books Forever Young and Dare To Dream released early 2012, who knows what the boys will have in store for their fans this time around.

The book title is also the title of their new world wide stadium tour. The book will most likely consist of behind the scenes access, and their point of view at what they think of their sudden jolts of fame. Because One Direction are also making their first feature film This Is Us, secrets might be given away about what the filming process has been like. The exact details of the book has been kept a secret, but seeing as there has been a bigger gap between their last books, fans are sure to have plenty of juicy stories from the boys themselves. After their first book Forever Young went to #1 on the UK book listings fresh off their X Factor tour, there’s absolutely no telling on how well this book will do after breaking the US for over a year.

Taylor Swift ft Ed Sheeran New Video

Yesterday, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have released their first collab video together – Everything Has Changed.

Comments on the video such as ” How can something to be just SO simply beautiful??” and “Hope this video will get as many views as possible! So adorable, pure and simple. I don’t think I’ve seen any music videos like this anymore. A video worth sharing. Makes our days better.” just shows that the video has gotten a great response from fans.

The video focuses on the puppy-love type romance between two kids. At the end, we find out that the boy belongs to Ed and the girl belongs to Taylor. The singers only come in the video at the end for a few short seconds, but some people may not know that this is Ed’s signature. In videos like A-Team, Give Me Love and Lego House, he only appears in the video very briefly and simply.

The pair have been playing to sold out arenas and stadiums for Swift’s Red Tour and will be playing at the Rogers Center on June 15th, and the next day at the 2013 MMVAs on June 16th.

New Mariah Carey Album is On The Way!

Mariah Carey has set a release date new album: July 23rd!

She tweeted yesterday “The New Era Begins.. 7/23 #MC723”

This will be her first album since Memoirs of a Perfect Angel in 2009, if you do not include her Christmas albm, Merry Christmas II You, that she released in 2010.

This will be her 13th studio album since her first album was released in 1990, 23 years ago!It Seems her becoming a judge on American Idol Season 12 is just the start of her 2013 comeback!

The album will include her new song Beautiful featuring Miguel that was released on May 6th 2013.

Selena Gomez Releases New Song On Vevo

Selena Gomez uploaded a new song to her Vevo June 3th. The Song is called “Slow Down“. It sounds like this could be the next summer song. It’s upbeat but at the same time it’s not a dance song. This song will be on her coming up album “Start Dance”

Selena also revealed the album cover artwork and the track listing for the album that is said to be released July 23rd.

Special Guests – Shayne Smith and Braden Herrington

On Tuesday June 4th, we had the incredible opportunity to interview motivational speaker Shayne Smith and producer Braden Herrington who also happen to be best friends. Shayne spent the day at Vaughan Secondary School speaking to students about growing up with his rare form of meningitis. He told us about his wheelchair basketball career, having played for team Ontario as well as team Canada. He also told us about his incredible experiences of meeting Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela, as well as having taught Drake wheelchair basketball for the filming of Degrassi!

He told us that there is NO LIMIT to our dreams and aspirations, and that his next goal is to make an appearance at the Oscar and Grammy Award shows.
